We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work at the SUNY Downstate Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Assignment Details: Location: 445 Lenox Road, Brooklyn, New York 11203 Facility: SUNY Downstate Hospital Setting: Oncology or Pediatric Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm (35 hours) Pay: Local: STARTING at $1,925/week Travel packages available if 50+ miles from site Minimum Qualifications: Current licensure to practice in the state of New York 2 years of experience Pediatric Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required with experience administering oncology treatments to patients 18 years and younger. Skilled in pediatric hematology/oncology care, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, and specialized medication administration. Experienced in blood transfusions, patient monitoring, and management of transfusion-related reactions. Responsibilities: Administer pediatric chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, and prescribed medications in accordance with hospital policies and oncology protocols. Monitor pediatric patients for treatment responses, adverse reactions, and changes in condition, providing timely interventions as needed. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive hematology/oncology care for patients from infancy through age 18. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, side effects, and ongoing care requirements. Maintain accurate documentation, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support quality patient outcomes in a pediatric oncology setting.
